Simms & Associates Unbelievable!! They are without a doubt, awful. Simms are rude and obnoxious ripoff. Newark Deleware

I had an account with FCNB and it went into bankruptcy so they close my account, which was fine, no hard feelings. But, Simms bought it out. In November of 2003, a nice guy calls from Simms, explains the situation and wants to know if I can pay, how much I could afford and how could I pay, along with dates.

Well, I agreed to have it electronically taken from my check acct. for a small sum, which turned out to be overinflated!!

The guys says the first payment will come out the following month and that I should be receiving correspondence regarding the agreement, payment schedule and dates, etc. I never not one time received a single letter, notice regarding this account. I tried to contact them for 3 months. Finally the fourth month I was truely tired of paying, not knowing how much I now owe, what the balance was, is and just basic info. Ways to get a hold of them if I had a question whether it be by phone, address, or website. Nothing.

I contacted my bank and had at that time the latest withdrawl reversed. Explained the situation. Two more times they tried to withdraw the amount again. They were reversed. I filed the paperwork so my credit union will not for any reason pay this company.

I got a nasty phone call from a female rep there telling me they have sent for 3 consecutive months statements regarding this account. 2 minutes later, tells me they don't "do statements". She was very abusive. Called me a liar about not receiving the mail.

My spouse talked with her supervisor and got the same flow of garbage. He told her not to threaten me with legal action if in return they didn't want any.
I have yet to receive any written anything from this company, but I can't get them to remove it.
Incredibly, the principle amount was only $380 but they tacked on over 900 in "applicable fees", right. We have definately payed the principle amount off.
They are such an awful example of a "business", they certainly should be ashamed of themselves.
