Simply Escapes, Simply You, Adaptive Marketing LLC Unauthorized Withdrawls from My Checking Account and No Information Given By The Company To Me Des Plaines Illinois

In reviewing my bank statements, I noticed two charges to a Simply Escapes and a Simply You both for $19.95 each. The charges had a phone number which I called. Upon talking to someone in their office, I had discovered this has been going on since May of 2005.

After waiting about 15 minutes, I did get through to a customer care representative. He told me the account was in my ex-wife's name but used my checking account. He also told me we should have recieved a new member packet which I don't recall recieving.

He did cancel my account with them, but in wanting to find out more information about the company and to see if I had any recourse, I was forwarded onto a supervisor. In speaking with her, she refused to give any information to me regarding their company or their operations. She maintained that information could only be given to the account holder.

I pressed her repeatedly to at least tell me who they were, but she kept refusing to tell me who they were and what services had been available to this account I was paying on. I also wanted some refund or settlement from them as I nor had the account holder recieved any information from this company.

Because I was not their account holder, even though I was paying for it, information could not be given to me about them. They did cancel the account, but refused to discuss any information with me regarding the account or any recourse available. She did give me a PO Box address and her name (Cathy Number 6041) but refused to work with me in any way.

She was very unhelpful and after I told her my next recourse was to contact the AG in Illinois, the BBB and my bank, she proceeded to end the call. If you have this information showing on your billing statement, call them and be persistent with terminating your account. Also the base Google search on them demonstrates that many people have had similar issues with this company.

Someone needs to do something, how is it that a company can just bill you for no services and then find some haphazzard excuse as to justifying how they can take your money. More essentially, this seems to be fradulent and the money earned by these people should go back to the consumers who have been taken over the years.
