Simply Madeup By Chris Kelley 511 S Oxford Ave, Los Angeles *BRIDES BEWARE*, a bad hair prep day will ruin your wedding day memories! Simply Made Up and/or Wet Cape is not the experienced & friendly company they claim to be. The following is a summary of my experience (yes, only a summary--it's actually more disturbing).

I am a very easy going and understanding person, but these people (Holly & Chris) have totally crossed a line. I've never had a worse experience with formal hair. 2 cancelled trials, unprofessional skills and communication, total disregard for photos of simple styling, and total disregard for timeline. They do whatever they want no matter what you think it confirmed. I gave an end time, and they chose the needed start time. Showed up late wedding day, didn't finish 1 person including myself (bride), MOH's hair wasn't touched, and had to stop everything unhappy 1.5 hours AFTER my "no later than" time. The day-of service wasn't even half complete, I've never seen someone take their time and act like they couldn't care less. Was late for wedding ceremony at a strict church, limo and photographer sat around for that 1.5 ($$$ down the drain left and right), no time for bridal party dressing or pre-photos, hair was horrendous... hair texture looked like I rolled out of bed.

Their comments to my concerns of poor scheduling and the fact that my hair was no where in the realm of what was to be done that day were "they'll wait for you, you're the bride" and " well, I think it looks good". I received no apology whatsoever. What I did get was a dismissive, condescending, and untruthful finger pointing justification for their unprofessional handling of my day. I guess they forget everything is confirmed in an email trail. No shame. Apparently to Holly, learning about them through a pre-paid package promo THEY offered gives them justification to treat you poorly since you didn't pay the full price they claim to be worth. Heaven forbid you hurt their pride by telling them you're not happy about being late and unfinished as you're scrambling to run out the door. They also use that for reasoning to nit compensate for missing services. Good luck to you if you ignore the red flags, and give the benefit of the doubt like I did.
