I ordered a vaccuum on August 5th; total was to be $156. They withdrew $313.70 from my account. I cancelled the order but they sent 4 vaccuums anyway. Over 30 emails and 40 phone calls later they authorized return of vaccuums and promised a refund. The package was sent via FedEx and signed for at their warehouse on October 12th. Multiple phone calls and emails since have not gotten the refund.
I've reported them to the FTC and Consumer Protection Agency but no luck. I'd like to file a class action suit but don't know the next step. Any advice is appreciated. A phone call to them at 1-800-224-0434 generated a promised refund by November 14th. We will see.

Singer-Lazer Storm Ripoff Update
AUTHOR: Eddie - (U.S.A.)

Thanks to other postings on this site I followed some advice offered and contacted my bank. I had initially notified them of the fraudulent charge immediately after it was processed and still had my email as record. The bank (BB&T) was extremely helpful and immediately began researching my complaint. I'm happy to say that I finally got all of my money back through the bank's efforts. Singer-Lazer Storm withheld part of the refund as reimbursement for FedEx charges to ship the vacuums back to their company, even though they had initially paid for the return. My bank reimbursed that amount and I assume they pursued S-L Storm for the balance. In any event, please don't give up if you've been ripped off by this unscrupulous company because you can beat them!

I am due a refund of $313.70. I cancelled an order on August 8th and it was still shipped on August 11th. I have tried to get my money back since. Your company has the 4 vaccuum cleaners that I DID NOT order; they were sent back via FedEx and signed for on October 12. I have reported this to the Californa BBB, California State Attorney General's Office, and the FTC.
Today I was promised my money by next Monday, November 14th. We shall see. Meantime I have consulted an attorney and we are taking steps to file a class action suit. Be advised!
