The Singles Station Dating Company...where to even begin. As an educated individual who has done business with these people, I would suggest you run far far away from this company.

To begin with, the membership fees to join start at $2,500 dollars and go up to $10,000! But don't expect them to disclose that over the phone. Their business plan is to "pre-qualify" you over the phone, tell you to bring in a credit card, and check book (if you don't bring either of these they won't even book the appointment) then bring you down to the office to meet with a HIGH PRESSURE salesman also known as a "relationship counselor."

They say they are selective of who they allow to join yet they will take anyone with money even if the person has been convicted of a crime. Oh, unless you are BLACK or MEXICAN because they don't allow minorities to join unless their income is close to $100K. Even if you SOUND like you MIGHT be black on the phone they will not schedule an appointment with you and that's the only way you can join so don't even bother. They won't even advertise in "black" areas of town to avoid receiving questionaires from what they call "demographically challenged people."

In addition to discrimination against potential clients, there is discrimination in the work place. The manager referred to one hispanic employee as a "beaner." Joking or not, that should NEVER be said in a place of business from a manager in particular.

In fact, the regional manager Jonathon Marcoulides has been sued for sexual harassment not once but twice. He was sued by an employee when he worked at a dating company called Together and then even sued by an Oklahoma City Single's Station employee. Not to mention if you check his record on OSCN he has had quite a number of lawsuits against him for various things. What does this say about a man that runs the entire company?

Jonathon is not the only employee accused of sexual harassment. Sean Kennedy, the Tulsa "relationship counselor" has had to my knowledge two claims from female employees of inappropriate sexual behavior that the company let continue even after knowing of both cases and didn't even document the latest claim! Not only does Sean have a DUI and several Controlled Substance convictions, the wife he boasts about that he met through the Single's Station does not even live with him anymore.

To add to all these problems, the employee turn-over rate is through the roof! Hiring convicted felons and anyone else off the street who needs a job for 10 bucks an hour (or $9.00/hour if you are a female). They are like used car salesmen who will do and say whatever it takes to get you in the door and pay for the services and if the employees don't meet the sales quotas they are gone. The way a company treats its employees is a huge indicator of how they will treat their clients.

Now what educated, intelligent person would pay thousands of dollars to join a company with not only a bad business reputation, but also discrimation and sexual harassment claims, ex-convict employees, and pushy sales people all in the hopes of meeting that special person they want to spend the rest of their lives with yet the "introductions" they offer don't even meet the clients requirements. Yes, they don't guaruntee love or marriage they only guaruntee the opportunity for those things but why would anyone spend their hard earned money for a service that doesn't guaruntee or produce results?

You hit the nail right on the head!!!

I was once associated with the Singles Station Dating Company. I know exactly what you were talking about concerning the practices of the Singles Station Dating Company. The company has had like 4 owners in the past few decades. Their pices are OUTRAGEOUS, they don't want you setting appointments with African American or Hispanic people, and if we did, you had better hope that they show up, or you are getting your back side chewed off at the weekly numbers meetings.
I saw a lot of unethical practices while I was associated with the Singles Station Dating Company. Including the sexual harassment of female employees that worked there. The Regional Director has had multiple accusations of sexual harassment towards him, but all of them seem to go away as fast as they surfaced. I guess when you make the money he does, you could make the problem go away too! The Regional Director also allows these unethical and unprofessional practices to continue with his employees beneath him. His super duper high pressure salesman also has some personal issues with not knowing how to treat female employees. Almost the entire telemarketing department, the people that call and harass you for years even thought you have told them not to call, are mostly convicted felons. Some for selling drugs, some for possession, and even some for identity theft... MADNESS... These people have all of their potential members information that had been submitted on the internet. What a company... They will get what is coming to them one day, and then somebody else will come in, buy the company, rename it, and then they will do it again. The Regional Director has also been with another dating company which is where he got accused of sexual harassment. But, because he can pretty much talk anyone into believing what he wants them to believe, he still has a job. He needs to go be a used car salesman. That would fit his profile a little better. Yeah... A shady used car salesman. Well, I guess I have made my point. Unless you want to pay thousands of dollars to meet people that dont match your criteria, dont even think about using the singles station. It is a waste of time, money, and not to mention, they will get you all excited about the interview just to let you show up and tell you that you are not qualified to become a member because you dont make enough money or, better yet, you might be half hispanic or something. What heart breakers...

Lets not forget...SIngle Station has gone thru at least 4 owners since the original owner created it 17+ years ago.

I myself was a SS member in 1990-91... and paid $500 for what turned out to be a waste of money.

I ended up paying $15 and joined a competitor, and 2 years later married a co-member (in fact we were the very last couple to be married (the owner was also a friend) but the club went under because the owner died.

with Sigle Status - its always been a con and continues to be.

But I would never ever spend more than $500 for any sort of 'dating' club - or meet&greet group. to me thats just stupid.
