I've used Sir Cooper, Inc. in the past. They were always slow, but they did eventually get the job done.
Unfortunately, this month, I think they might have closed down - after they collected as much money as they could...
I've had them print my full color newsletter for the last 3 months. Average bill is around $135. This month, the bill was $156 (more people to send it too). I placed the order on January 2nd.
What normally takes 7-10 days to print still hadn't been printed by the 13th. I was a little worried because I generally get this out by the 15th and it takes 5 days for shipping after Sir Cooper has printed the newsletter.
I emailed the 13th with no response. I called on the 14th and their automated voice mail said that they were open from 9-3 CST. I was calling during these hours so I was annoyed. I emailed again. Sill no response.
Monday the 16th, I called 3 times - again no answer. I email 3 times - again no response.
Today the 17th, their numbers are disconnected and no longer in service...
Just like that, they are out of business...
Their website is still up and taking money, but be warned, I don't think they are in business.
I was able to call my bank and have the charges reversed, but I can't get back the lost time.

Sir Cooper Opening Under New Ownership
AUTHOR: American Finance Solutions - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, January 22, 2012
Unfortunately Sir Cooper, Inc. defaulted on a large obligation to our finance company, American Finance Solutions. As a result the finance company is taking over all assets of the company and plans to re-open for business under new & competent operators with over 20+ years in the printing industry.
We plan on delivering the same value with improved customer service!
Unfortunately the previous owner charged your credit/debit card and did not fulfill the order. Please dispute the charge with your bank/credit card issuer stating that you did not receive the ordered product requesting a refund.
We hope that you return in the future and have an improved customer experience.

So, someone does exist at Sir Cooper... Sort of...
I just got a call from a guy at a company that is local to me - not from Illinois where Sir Cooper is located.
He claims that they are taking over Sir Cooper and the previous owner didn't turn everything over to them so they were unable to process my order because of that reason.
Sounds plausible. Maybe the owner got into trouble and ended up losing his company... I don't know... don't really care at this point...
He canceled my order and put in a request for a refund... I explained that I had already requested a charge back from my bank. His reply, "If that's what you have to do, I understand." He also mentioned that the charge back would go against the previous owner, not his company.
I have a merchant account as well so I understood what he meant.
Maybe these new guys will give better service... We can all hope.
