Sitemile.com claims  that "Our wordpress apps and themes are plug and play and you do not need any other plugins or other custom scripts to run them. Just push them in and you are ready!"

They company offers a number of clone scripts for websites like Groupon, Fiverr, Taskrabbit, Craigslist, Ebay, ect. Each indidvidual script (Wordpress plugin) costs approximately $50--however, Sitemile.com also offers two different club membership options which allow the user to access all of the company's themes.  The basic club membership is $249 while the professional version is $379. Each package varies in terms of what the user is allowed to do with the scripts. For example, even if you purchase the professional version—you will still need to upgrade to an extra developer license (which is about $40 per theme) in order to have full access to all features and add-ons(mobile versions, different operating systems, etc.), including lifetime updates, and the rights to sell a website with the theme installed.

It sounds like a great deal—until you purchase the package only to find out that only one or two of the themes functions. However—in order to use any of the scripts-you need prior programming knowledge. Andrei and sitemile make it sound like the scripts are user friendly for anyone, which is not the case.

If only I had known about the forum before I purchased the basic club membership—I wouldn’t have purchased the product. The forum is full of complaints from disgruntled members who did not get what they paid for. In fact—most of the theme are still in development. For example, every few months, Andrei promises that the Taskerr theme (TaskRabbit) clone script will be completed—he has promised this since early 2013. Yet—nothing. Here is a link to the forum: http://sitemile.com/support-forums/

So to the point—I purchased the basic club membership back in April. I spent an additional $40 to upgrade to the extra developer license for Taskerr-the script I wanted the most. Andrei took the money and failed to mention that the script does not work. He also promised to upgrade me, and never did. He also refused my refund request. Additionally, he said he would install it on my website and didn’t—communication with the company takes ages—even though sitemile claims on their website that they get back to you within 15-20 minutes.

Sitemile and Andrei Saioc are scam artists and dishonest. Those who have been successful with a few of their scripts (such as pricerr, the fiverr clone) have either been programmers or have hired programmers to make the script work.

All I want is a refund for the nearly $400 I spent with sitemile on wordpress plugins that do not function as advertised.  I’ve seen complaints on scambook as well—and hope these negative reviews show up in the search engines in order to save other customers from getting scammed.

I have email correspondence with Andrei if anyone wants to see it. But—avoid this company like the plague. They will take your money and leave you stranded. I am calling my credit card company tomorrow to dispute the charges. I hope it works in my favor.

 Avoid Sitemile – Avoid Andrei.

I have problems as well

AUTHOR: TerraINV - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 26, 2014

I only bought the Fiverr clone and have had nothing but problems. It is full of bugs and issues. I too want a refund but sent messages with no response. My developer i hired to help told me to get a refund as this theme is so bad the cost per hour wiuld be more than buying another Fiverr clone from another author that actually gives support.

i do NOT recommend buying any sitemile.com products.

Apologies to Andrei and Sitemile Not a Ripoff or Scam

AUTHOR: Sitemile update - ()

POSTED: Saturday, June 07, 2014

Again- I was very angry at the time I filed the ripoff report. These issues have all been resolved (see above report).

Andrei upgraded my licenses for all products, and offered personal assistance. He is working on improving Sitemile documentation.

Andrei Dragos Saioc is a good guy--so Sitemile is neither a scam nor a ripoff. I look forward to using my sitemile themes on new websites--and  to futher improvements in regards to more documentation so that the themes are more "user-friendly" for someone without progamming or extensive Word Press knowledge.

Issues Resolved with Sitemile and Andrei Dragos Saioc

AUTHOR: Sitemile update - ()

POSTED: Saturday, June 07, 2014

Not long after I posted my initial report--Andrei contacted me and offered to chat to resolve this dispute. Actually, he emailed me the next day regarding an earlier inquiry--and a few days later he noticed the ripoff report.

Now he has offered to help me site up sitemile's themes on a few of my websites--in additon to upgrading my license on all themes. I've included his email below.

He is actually a very nice guy--I just think he is extremely busy. While Sitemile themes do not necessarily operate "out of the box", I've noticed that unfortunately is  standard across the clone script industry. You either need to learn some basic coding, hire a developer, or spend a long time figuring it out yourself.

However, I purchased another theme (Fundify--a Kickstarter clone) --which provides extensive documentation on how to set up the theme without prior programming knowledge. I suggested that if Andrei provided more thorough documentation (especially for those of us with zero programming experience!) that customers would report greater satisfication with sitemile products.

Here was his reply:

hello, well, i have made you extra developer for all themes and have upgraded your membership. Thanks for the suggestions and will try to put in practice.

also very soon the taskerdev will be ready to go. For now the: classified theme, auction theme, pricerr theme, penny auction theme, buzzler theme, walleto theme, project theme are fully ready to go.

So --there you go. Unfortunately, I can't take down this report--but due to the greatly improved customer service on behalf of Andrei and Sitemile--I thought it was only fair to post an update. I look forward to working with Andrei going forward.
