SkyAuction.com, Michael Hering cheaters don't respect customers, impossible to contact people who know how to do work New York New York

My family won a trip from skyauction.com. This was our 3rd or 4th dealing with this company and we had been satisfied in the past. We won another trip and tried to create a reservation for a week long trip to costa rica.

We received an e-mail from the company stating the cost of additional air fare and what dates and times would be available. We waited for a response from their land package person. We did not receive any information and requested that they cancel the reservation before the tickets were booked.

They ignored our request and still booked the plane tickets. We never received any contact from the land tour department. About one week before the trip we received a call from a very nasty New Yorker saying that there was no refund or other ways to fix the problem.
We stated that we were contacting our credit card company regarding the issue. The company was so sloppy that a charge back was granted and we received a credit on our bill. Two months later we received a letter from our credit card company saying that the company is now fighting the charge back.

We provided all documentation and information regarding the purchase to our credit card company. We also received a very nasty letter from skyauctions legal department saying we had no right to put the charges in dispute etc. etc. Our credit card company sided with us and then sky auction filed a complaint with Visa and another set of information had to be sent.
Visa sided with them and our credit card company had to recharge our account 5 months after the trip was supposed to happen.

This company does not provide good service and is impossible to contact any other way than by having them call you or filling a report with your credit card company. We filled complaints with the BBB, California AG, New York AG and the federal governments anti-fraud division.

People should avoid this company as they do not provide good service and look to rip people off because they do too much on-line selling and have no people in the front office to help out people.

Our personal opinion is to avoid this company at all costs unless you want to end up with more headaches than it is worth.
