1ST - I am a real person & former client / customer of Skyler Pools, I am not a competitor of Skyler Pools. I just needed to be able to vent & share my story / experience.

After saving up enough money to finally purchase my new pool, it took 17 months to finish (the construction alone took 12 months). It was not a big pool (only 15x30 with a small spa). So, I am not really sure why it took 17 months to complete. But I do know that Bruce Davis, the owner of Skyler Pools, was not very organized, was very disrespectful, was very arrogant & demeaning & was horrible when it came to customer communication. It was even worse because when I was deciding on who to hire, Bruce had told me he had been building pools for 40 years, so that made me feel confident that Skyler Pools & Bruce could build my new pool in the 12 week time frame that they had promised, NOT THE 73 WEEKS THAT IT ACTUALLY TOOK SKYLER POOLS.

Just to get my pool finished, I had to have my attorney call Bruce & threaten a law suit & also have my attorney call a 2nd time in order to get all my permits closed out.

I am a very hard working & respected business woman living in South Florida for 20 plus years & I don't want to see any other hard working people get taken advantage of by Bruce Davis & Skyler Pools.

I had originally posted a complaint on Angie's List but Bruce / Skyler Pools cancelled their membership with Angie's List, so my complaint could not be seen there any longer.

PLEASE DO NOT USE SKYLER POOLS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR POOL TO TAKE 17 MONTHS TO BUILD.

First, we do not check "ripoff report.com" ever... Our sales people do not either.

Skyler Pools never takes more than 10-16 weeks to build a pool unless there are extenuating circumstances - like have the client make work order changes, non payment, breech of contract from the client, etc... also seems fishy when a complaint is filed with no last name for the "defendant" to make a rebuttal. If the client wishs to provide a last name I would be happy to look into the records and find out what the circumstances are for the "alledged" delay. And I will be happy to respond assuming this info is provided making this a legitimate complaint and not someone just making up a story
