Skyline Mart, Inc. Sold 9 months old frozen yogurt/ice cream. Falls Church Virginia

This is a small grocery store downstaires in my condo building. I bought a pint of Haagen Dazs frozen yougurt. After eating a couple of spoonful, i looked on the container and the expiration date was 11/30/07. Today is 8/1/08. I went downstaires to tell the owner, she asked me where is my receipt and if i was sure i brought it from her store. I told her yes, I went over to the freezer section, and checked the ones that were in the freezer, they were all 1 month past the due date. She got mad and told me she could not refund me $4.00 because i didn't have the receipt. I told her it wasn't about the $4.00, it was the yougurt/ice cream is 9 months old, and I could of got sick from it and I don't want other customers to get sick. She blame it on the delivery truck/Haagen Dazs, i told her as a store owner she needs to check the expiration date and should not be selling expired foods. At that point, i still didn't get an apology, but she tld me there is nothing she can do because i didn't have the receipt. I just told her i would call the health department and report her to the BBB and walked out!
