sky point digital is a HUGE rip off.  They advertise the lowest price, talk you out of what you already ordered on the internet, verbally tell you their "better package", then send you generic crap instead of the high-end products they verbally told you about.  Never purchase anything from them.

At CNET I found a high-end camcorder rated at the top of CNET's site.  I ordered it from the lowest price at skypointdigital.com.  Soon someone called from sky point digital, told me this camcorder is no good and they're not even sure if it's in stock.  They then proceeded to tell me about a screaming deal of a package including a very high-end wide angle lense ($599), professional crystal filters ($399), professional rapid charger ($399) etc, etc.

I'm on my cell, driving, can't check anything out on the internet, so I get sucked in.

I get the package here and check what they sent versus what they said they were sending.  I can get the EXACT same products on the internet for $2,284.  Sky Point Digital charged my card $4,799.98.

The "$599" wide angle lense they shipped is a $45 item all over the internet.  The "$399" crystal filter lense kit they shipped is $78.  The professional charger kit for "$399" is $15 all over the internet.  I have never seen such a huge bait and switch rip off.

I try calling the phone number to arrange a return, and they are unavailable.  Oh, and they state on the paperwork "at least" a 10% restocking fee.  The salesman said they take anything back if I'm not satisfied.
