I contracted with this law firm via the Ryan Law Firm In Houston in November of 2009, I paid $2,500.00. After four months of no return calls, answering faxs, and left messages I called my mortgage company to verify status and discovered nothing was done almost placing me in foreclosure. I was able to save this by finally forwarding the information needed and after bringing this to The Slade Law Firms attention and requesting my money back they claimed doing plenty of work on the file although my mortgage company was not able to locate any correspondence with them what so ever.
I asked that they forward all documentation to show proof in February and as of today nothing has been received. They were very argumentative, dishonest and uncooperative with me once they were caught. They new I was a single parent to a small child and held to concern that were about to place my six year old and my self out on the streets. I would never recommend to any one to do business with the Slade Law Firm nor the Ryan Law Firm in Houston who forwarded me to them. When contacting the law firm I originally worked with in Houston ( Ryan Law Firm) they stated that all they did is contract me with Slade for a commission and was not liable passing me off.

Thank you for your input. My husband and I were just contacted by someone of Slade Law Firm yesterday as a result of an internet inquiry we had put on the internet. I have created an email account just for the purposes today of getting more information. Can you email us at mailto (((ROR redacted))) give us the name of the person(people) you had talked with at Slade? We thought the $2500 they told us we that we have to pay (during the supposed 3 month account freeze) sounded a little odd considering that they couldn't quarantee ANYTHING. We were told that during this supposed 3 month account freeze while the loan modification was being processed, our particular Bank was known for having the tenacity of their collection department to intimidate us for payment. Really thankful we saw your post here....before we gave them the $1000 retainer up front. If you can give us more information, I'd like to call their hand on their misinformation formally and let them know we know what a bunch of theives they are. They claim our Bank is the deceiving party.....sounds like they have a scam going on for sure. Sorry that happened to you. (And Ryan Law Firm needs to be held accountable for a piss-poor reference given to you. Why did they refer a company so shady....Are they getting a kick back of some kind? Shame on them.)
