Two years ago we received a pamphlet and video from Sleep Comfort Beds. You can view the video we received at http://http//www.sleep-comfort.com/video.htm. This completely explains the warranty.
After we purchased the bed for almost $4,000, they brought it out. I asked about the lifetime warranty. They concurred it was true. After they deposited our money (before they even delivered the bed), they brought us a packet (after the contract was signed). It makes no sense.
After 4 months, the bed made so much noise we couldn't even use the adjustable part. They came out, basically did nothing and said it was the vibration and it would stop. We phoned and told them it hadn't. They blamed it on our flooring (which is carpet).
It continued and finally my side of the king size portion will raise, very noisely, but it will not let down. Basically we can't use it. We called again to be directed to Leggett & Platt which we had never heard of only to be told the bed only had a 1 year warranty. They would send us a motor and we could put it in ourselves to see if that was the problem. In the book is has a warning that if we touch anything but the hand controls ourselves, the warrant is void. It has to be done by a certified tech, which they won't send out.
The last page in the book we were given after delivery and contracts were signed can be found at http://www.sleep-comfort.com/pdf/sleep-comfort-warranty.pdf. This booklet was included in the packet he handed us as he walked out the door. As you can see it is in direct contrast to the video and the pamphlets we received. Both of which state "Sleep Comfort" is the only one with a Lifetime Warranty". The other pamphlet adds that when bought through sleep comfort it has a 100% unlimited lifetime warranty.
Please help us. We cannot afford to throw away $4,000 and they have us over a barrel where they won't send anyone and if we touch it, the warranty will be void. This sounds like fraudulent advertising.

I want to update a previous report provided by me to provide customers with further information. We never heard from Sleep Comfort/Leggit and Platt except to send us the motor they told us to put in ourselves. We finally did so and as I suspected..it did not fix any problem. One side will still only go up and not down. Not only this, but the 100% guarantee they explained on my previous video, I was told does not include mattresses either. They said it did but it doesn't. One mattress has a huge lump in the area that bends, even when set to flat which makes it unable to sleep on. Their warranty is very clear, they just don't support it after you pay your $4,000.00 or so. I could really use some help from this wonderful site or the BBB or someone. It would be greatly appreciated. I did notice the copies of video with warranty is still on my previous site. Thank you again for providing us with this outlet. It is our only way to get things taken care of. It appears Sleep Comfort and Leggit and Platt will not provide any type of help to get things fixed.

I sent a ripoff complaint earlier with proof in the form of videos and actual papers. I have continued to contact sleep comfort and all they do refer me to Leggitt and Platt. It makes me angry to read a response from someone at Leggitt & Platt stating they were not affiliated with Sleep Comfort.. If you follow up on my original complaint, it proves that statement is a blatant lie. No one will help us at either place and I would appreciate any advice. Thank you very much.
