I purchased a pre-order item from this store on 3/20/14 for $89.00 (which included $79 for the item and a $10 shipping fee. When purchasing the pre-order it stated these items would not be available to be shipped until 4/1/14. I completely understood the policy when making the purchase and thought that was a reasonable amount of time. However, on approximately 4/7/14, after not receiving a shipping confirmation email as of yet, I contacted the company, via email, to check on the item. They stated they had me covered and due to a high demand, the item would not be shipped until the 3rd week of April. Once again, I was patient and okay with the change since I requested an alternate swimsuit to be shipped instead. On 5/5/14 after still not receiving anything via email or postal service, I emailed the company once again to check the status. The representative was very argumentative and changed the story several times as to when the item was said to be originally shipped and told me the item would not be shipped for another week or 2. I told the representative that I would like a refund or my item within the week because this was a poor way to handle business and their customers. I also told the representative that I would come to Augusta to retrieve the item and I was told they were an online only business so that was not an option. I then stated again I would like a refund and was informed from the representative that they do not offer refunds and to expect my item within 2 weeks. It is 6/17/14 and I still have not received my item and I have attempted to contact the company via email (because I like everything in writing) and by phone to see if I could get any assistance at all. I have been contacting the company for the last 2 weeks approximately 8 requests via email and 2-3 voicemails with no response via email or a call back although the policy states there is a 24 hour turnaround on all replies and callbacks. I have also noticed dissatisfaction and complaints on their Instagram page from other customers (page is now blocked but shows activity).

After speaking to the business license office in Augusta, GA; it was determined that the company has a business license but the license was not active until 3/28/14 which was 8 days after my 3/20/14 transaction. The company promised several times to ship the item and caused me to be pass the 45 day dispute period for PayPal and the 60 day dispute period for my Credit Union; therefore, my only option is to either receive the item from the company or receive a full refund directly from the company.

In addition to this complaint, I have already been in contact with the Better Business Bureau and they have not received any correspondence from the company either. I am also contacting the Georgia Consumer’s Protection Office and Federal Trade Commission in regards to this complaint and will pursue small claims court if necessary.

To date, there has still been no correspondence from the company; although, I have still be attempting to contact the company throughout this process.
