I was trying to do a favor for a dear friend. Instead, I got sucked into a scam. My friend gave me a phone number that lead me to Slim Clip. So, I googled the company and found the product he wanted. As I progressed through the screens of their up-selling tactics and made my choices. I kept waiting for that screen that would tell me how much the Grand Total was. But it never came. Where's the screen that asks me to "accept". There isn't one. Crap! So I had no idea, although I was lead to believe that it was only $14.99.

This was portrayed as a special offer and I would receive three clips and three flashlights for a total of $10.00. Even the shipping and handling was at a special rate of only 4.99 for the entire order. So that's what I placed the order for, right? They did give me a conformation number. How kind of them. But no total. Huh?

Okay, lets check the email. Bingo! I get one of those "Thank you for your order" communications. I scrolled down and almost fell off my chair. Now the shipping is $34.95 and the Grand Total is $74.95. What! That doesn't even add up. So I called them. And of course the woman that answered in her broken English has no record of the transaction. She tells me to call back in 24 to 48 hours. But, I want it canceled now and gave her my order number. No record, you'll have to call back. This is insane! Someone needs to shove these people back under the rug. And place a large, heavy piece of furniture on it so they can't get back out. What a bunch of low life's!
