SLM Financial False & deceptive practices; threats of legal action, poor consumer relations, illegal liens on property; Castle Windows in NJ does all their financing through SLM Financial; poor business partners. Berlin New Jersey

We purchased windows through Castle Windows (see complaints.com for complaints againts them) and we were duped. They filed a lien on our property although their contracts indicate that they only place UCC liens on loans over $5000 - our windows were under that amount.

SLM Financial received all of our information and the lien was filed. The form that was filed was signed but it was to include doors as well and when we decided against it the form was to be destroyed.

Castle Windows and SLM Financial will threaten you with their attorneys in order for you to pull your complaints.

I filed with the FTC, BBB and consumer agencies in my state. I encourage all to file the complaints as needed because predatory lenders like these and companies with these deceptive selling practices should be stopped.
