On or about February 23, I had Slomins install an alarm in my home yesterday. At the time of purchase I was not aware of the following information that the public I feel should be aware of .
First and foremost, I did not know that I would get no master code. I dd not know that the equipment they were selling me was as expensive as it was and that it sold for far less money.
I called the Slomins and I was told that I should have read the contract and that I was stuck paying the bill. I am now stuck with an alarm system that I am not happy with for the next five years.
I asked Slomins if they would ever give me a master code. George JPRE handle (Yes, I asked for his last name and he refused to give) told me that they would never give me a master key even after five years. He explained to me that if one decided that one did not want the equipment one would need to pay 60% of the equipment 683.40 and 60% of the monitoring 1024 for canceling the service $1707.74.
I asked what number 60% repressented and he told me that I could do the math myself. I would like to say that I paid at the time of purchase $150.00 add this to the 1707.74 and you can see I am out a grand total of $1857.74
This at the time was called a fee to go wireless.
On information and belief what needs to be said here is going forward that Slomins would charge me I believe 1707.74 even if I was in the fourth year of the contract. All of the monitoring fees paid in the past goine out the door.
What also needs to be said that I might never find out that I was not getting the Master code at all until the last year of the contract. What I paid for was
for them to set their own prices and continue to charge me for the same equipment that I could buy for less somewhere else over the period of myl lifetime. Is Slomins really free. The cost of the equipment you will pay from Slomins is to expensive and is not free. You decide for yourself if Slomin is for you and your family.
As for the actual cost of the alarm system somewhere else I found the same system on information and belief between $75.00 and $100. Is Slomins a free system I really do not think so,.
