I became a customer of smart move auto in june 2008. I made all my payments at the store location in Decatur every two weeks as i agreed in the contract. In the month of March 2009 I went to the location to make a payment and they were closed. I went back to the Snellville, GA location where I purchased the car and they were also closed. I called every number to various locations all over the USA and all the numbers were disconnected. I looked over my contract to find my finance company to contact them to make a payment and there is no finance company on the contract. I didn't know what to do but wait to be contacted by someone. Two months passed and they sent me a letter in May 2009 stating that I owe 674.80 I do agree I owe that amount but I don't think that I should have to pay it all at once because smart move closed there doors with no fore warning and I wanted to stay on my payment schedule and due to there closing I was unable. I think payment arrangements need to be made and I don't want to be charged any late fees. I called the number on the letter I recieved 05/04/2009 and the representative stated I had to talk to another person but they would have to return my call. The representative returned my call and stated that I have to pay the full amount and late fees and it was my fault that I dealt with Smart Move Auto. They didn't want to work out a payment arrangement with me and the representative became rude when I told him I didn't have all that at once and I shouldn't be the blame when no one from smart move told me where to forward the payments they abandoned me and two months later I recieve a letter. I researched Synergy Acceptance on the internet and they are not legit there company advertising a number on thier website that rings with no answer 770-720-7750. I called Synergy back and got another rep Adam he stated he couldn't give his last name to me. I asked why the number on the website just ring with no answer. He ignored my question and stated that he recieved my payment in Feb 09. I stated that i'm willing to pay but I want to be put back on my same arrangement because no one from smart auto told me anything they just left with no notice. He stated he would call me back and i'm waiting. I asked if he had my title he claims Synergy has it and I stated I want to pay but I want a break down of my charges and I don't want any late or additional fees. He stated he would call me back. Im waiting.

I received a letter from Smart Move in February stating they sold the title to my car and the new finance company would get back to me. March passed, April passed and then May I get a letter from Synergy stating I need to pay 582.00 or they would repo my car. I called the customer service number on the letter and spoke to Jason and he was so helpful. He got rid of my late fees and rolled my past due payments in to a balloon payment at the end of my lease with no interest. So in my situation I called listened to their spill and then explained it's not my fault Smart Move failed to properly conduct business and it's not Syngery's fault however I place responsibility with Synergy because you should have notified me when you took over my account. Jason agreed and together we came up with a great solution for me. So call and calmly explain and I am sure they can work something out for you like they did for me.
