This just so happens to become the Worst case scenario for me and my godchildren right before the Holiday season this year... I trusted SmartSilk- A bed and bath luxury bedding provider of sheets, and other luxury bedding products to take on a position at a local shopping warehouse here in Memphis, TN.. My oldest cousin had purchased one of their comforters once before so I thought I could trust the part-time opportunity that promised me a lot of money doing what I simply love to do... I worked for three days before there became so akward problems at the store they sent me... Before I knew it, I was being told I could go home after working 3 ten hour days.. at a promised rate of $12.00 an hour..for a JOB ONLY WORTH $20 an hour in their eyes. Just enough money to help pay my way through Christmas!!!.. That's not the worst part, The company promised to pay direct deposit into a debit account for me, Scheduled for that Friday Three weeks after I worked, THE THREE WEEKS WAS fine but that three weeks soon turned into 8weeks, NO CHRISTMAS at my house.. The Thursday night before payday I received an email that I didnt check until friday after Lunch time.. An email that stated because I am in a Foreign company, NOT IN CANADA like the company, that they couldn't direct deposit my money. So I called soon as I got that.. They told me in what sounded like a made up voice... "Noooo, check already mailed," then hung up on me. I sent emails and plead with this company for a total of five weeks. Time I thought would serve as a gift right before christmas, I recieved no responses or anything!! Finally, the check came.. La la la, im lounging around the house just sitting there eatting popcorn.. The mail lady smiles then hands me the check.. I rush to the car, put it in drive, while im sliding the envelope open.. backing out the driveway, my check only a third of what it's supposed to be, before I knew it i almost backed on out the driveway to hit a park car. #SHOCKED)..Disappointed, still thinking and realizing I can't track these people down, they won't communicate then they say whatever they want then hang up.. When I first had communication with this company they gave me a totally different impression of them.. Then all of a sudden, they changed.. They kept giving me weird schedules, having me change a lot of stuff around at the store, counting inventory... THEN in the end, they shorted me of $300 plus expenses... Instead of making cash, I ended up using a lot of gas then paying out on expenses.. They go from state to state advertising on serval sites for people to work for them.. If they don't rebutte and let us know what's going on we will only be able to prove what they have done to me.. Fairness is KINDESS!!!.. SHAME ON YOU GUYS.. CHRISTMAS IS ONLY ONCE A YEAR....

You see, the companies rebuttal was another one of their infamous misleads, (ONE OF THE OWNERS?.. (How many owners are there?.. Everyone I spoke with said they were owners, Who also all had different opinions when these issues arrived at the work site.. They mislead then attack.. That's the obvious motto. And apparently, they have other staff members on hold who wishes to report them just like I have done!!!.(SmartSILK does not pay on time, It's a pian to cash their checks, the overall pratice of their hiring and firing was a pain. Then . Don't trust them, I have been in the business services they provide for years.. They are a foreign company who dont seem to understand our business pratices or the rules of MAKING PAYROLL in a timely fashion

I am one of the owners of SmartSilk. Trent did in fact work for us as a sales representative. Prior to starting a SmartSilk show, we provide the sales representative with specific rules and regulations to abide by.
Due to customer and retail management complaints, as well as his breaking a number of our regulations, we did let him go after three days. Trent was paid in full for the total amount of hours that he worked.
The time sheet that he provided to us contained an amount of hours that far surpassed the actual number of hours that were worked. We take pride in treating our sales representatives with fairness and respect, and have taken great lengths to ensure their contentment.
