After pleading my case, which is highly unusual, to Veronica Martin, I was treated like a piece of dirt and hung up on. My husband has not used the interlock for the past month. he has been incarcerated while waiting for a bed in a 3 month mandated rehab. i am without his income for the last month and next 3. she wants to charge me for the past month, plus the next, plus a lock out fee, plus a fee to have the piece of junk removed. i explained that i do not have the $200 plus with no income! told her we might have to wait and pay for the full three months when he gets out. and is employed again. no. that is not an option. she said she would charge me with theft! i explained that i just dont have the money and could i pay it out? no. not an option. she is the most cold hearted person i have dealt with in my life. could not understand that you cant get blood from a stone. i am having to go to food banks and borrow from friends to survive, yet she requires that i must pay the fee or go to jail myself!!! if this is the kind of employee that smart start hires...well, can't say much for the company. the pure lack of humanity! what has this world come to?

I understand your hard a** (a**) attitude. But, can you take a moment to sympathize or even maybe empathize with another human being? I am not asking for the debt to go away. I am a female with an 18 year old taking college courses. i am a fine, upstanding citizen. I have 2 ruptured discs in my back and one in my neck. I also have degenterative bone disease. So, grabbing a job to make this payment is not an option. I have the loss of my husbands income. Devistating. I know my husband did wrong and I've been paying for it for 2 years. But, when I ask for a payment plan, then I expect a company to want to get their money whether it be now or split up between 2 months. Doesn't seem like such a big problem to me. As we have been paying them $54 a month for almost 2 years plus deposit. Never been late. If you can't understand me, then you too have a problem. I assume you have lots of money and have never had to humilitate yourself by asking for a "favor". lucky you. we are not all so lucky. Some of us people are struggling to survive.

Its called business and they are not supposed to "have a heart". They have a job to do. That job doesnt give them the option of playing nice. How exactly can you expect them to do ANYTHING for you? YOUR personal issues DO NOT come into play here. Yea it would be nice if the world worked the way you want it to, but given that the american consumer has done everything they can to screw businesses they CANNOT do it. Its understandable that you have a situation. But that situation has ZERO bearing on what you owe. I would suggest that you atleast try and catch up.
And not to be too much of an a$$ but why would you expect them to give you any leyway on what you owe. Its business and little things like emotion do not factor into it. Youre expecting them to do more for you then they can legally. You blast the individual you were talking to because they cant give you a pass on what you owe. You NEED to grow up and accept the fact that you are screwing yourself and its not them screwing you. YOUR situation has gotten you into this.
