SmartStart Misinformation, Faulty Product, Fines, Nothing you can do about it after install!!! Nannuet NY

Smart Start is an ignition interlock servicing company. They promise to be available around the clock, to provide local service centers, and to reimburse incorrect fees or fines. This simply is not true. DO NOT sign a contract with this company!!

After signing a contract, you may or may not be able to find a reliable service center. I had to drive over an hour away. If there are problems with the device, you will be driving constantly or paying expensive tow fees. No matter what the problem is, it will be considered YOUR FAULT. You will be fined and have to miss work or plans for hours on end.

After waiting on hold from anywhere to 5 minutes to 45 minutes, you will speak to someone who likely does not know the correct answer to your question. You can call back multiple times, waiting on hold each time, and recieve multiple answers. If you get the wrong information, it will be YOUR FAULT. You will have no recourse or reimbursement for your time, money, or frustration. If you want them to make your car start, you will pay any amount of money! It will not be credited back to you.

The Service Center will always tell you to call SmartStart. SmartStart will run you through a terrible automated system that will end in a message that states to call the Service Center. If you are persistent, you might get an email. no one will respond to the email though.

I believe this company manipulates people because its so easy! We are required to contract with SOMEONE. There are FEW providers. We NEED our car, so we put up with the terrible service, poor product, and fines. What is our other choice??? If you are using Smart Start, you have been convicted of a DWI. Therefore, you deserve to go through a terrible awful experience?? People should rip you off? They should speak rudely to you and scam you for money? Something is wrong. Very Very Wrong.
