Smashface Rescue Kyle, Kim A. Russell Withheld $175 depoit that I was promised would be returned to me. van nuys California

I found a dog with Smashface thru their site. The dog fit my needs. I set up an appointment to see the dog. The location was at their house. Their dd said the dog was potty trained. I asked them specificly if she was. They said she was 90% trained and they are working with her. I said, if I take her home and I have a problem with her potty in the house, I would like a week allowance to return her. They said that was fine. They wanted a 50% dposit. I wrote them a check. I did not take the dog at that time.

     I found out a few days later that i would need minor surgery. I am 75 years old. I decided it was not a good idea to adopt a youg dog at this time. I called Smashface and told them I decided not to take the dog and asked for my deposit returned. They said they would put it in the mail. They were disapointed but said they had other peoe interested in her, Millie was her name. This phone call was made 4 days after I gave them the check on 7-3-16 Ater numerous calls I finally got a call from Kyle. He said he had been on vacation and didn't check his phone. He agreed to send the check off right away. Never receiving it, I made numerous calls for two weeks, no return call. The last time I called the phone messag said this phone is not receiving any messages.

    The date today is 8/19/16, 6 weeks after giving them the money, no check. I reported this theft to the BBB also.
