We enrolled in the Smith & Merritt financial coaching program in Nov., 2006, paying $9995.00 for the 2 year program. We were guaranteed 25 coaching sessions and that we would make or save the cost of our tuition within the first 12 months. The program progressed as expected, with routine coaching sessions, until Feb., 2007, when we were informed that all coaching sessions had been suspended. They no longer return calls or answer our emails requesting information.
We recently received a memo by mail that all coaching contact with students has been terminated due to litigation between Smith and Merritt and College Partnerships. So much for their creed "Spending your way to wealth". Beware any such advice to college-bound individuals seeking guidance!
