Smith, Dean and Associates Threatened with Grand Larceny, Felony Warrants. Jacksonville, Florida

I received a message from my boyfriend that someone named Theresa called me and asked that I call her.  I tried to call her to see what was going on and was put through to her supervisor, Thomas Curran.  He explained the following.

He told me that two felony warrants were going to be issued because I owe a debt of 1,075.00.  I realize I owe this.  However, the item in question, has a broken enter key on the numeric keypad and the numeric keypad does not work.  When I contacted the rental company, Coast to Coast PC, or National Ford Motor Company as it always came through on my credit card.  I was told I would have to ship the computer back to Acer to have them repair it; but there were some very costly and strict mailing instructions.  For a student who is unemployed, 150 dollars in shipping fees is a lot.  When I explained I hadn't the money to do this, the collection calls started about two weeks after that.

When I tried to explain my situation to this man, he told me he didn't want to hear it, that I could tell my story to the judge when the police came to pick me up.  I told him to bring it, that I wasn't scared of him.  Yet here I am still - and not in jail.

These people will bother you mercilessly and call your job, your relatives and such threatening you - don't buy into it.  I know I am in the right.
