Two dogs were purchased by rescue at the 1/18/06 from the Oakhill Kennel Auction, conducted by South West Auction Service. South West speccializes is selling puppy mill dogs.

USDA paperwork confimes Jason Smith as the owner and the dogs were kept in his Puppy mill in Salem MO since arriving in the USA some time is spring of 2004.

Both were listed in the auction catalog as import and registered with AKC. Neither was actually registered.

It has now been over two months. The acution house and Smith have been contacted about this dog's AKC status. No response.

As of today 3/30/06 AKC reports no Foreign Dog Registry Application was recieved for her.

Per SW Auctions consignment agreement:

11. The seller guarantees that their privileges have not been denied by the registration club in which their dog is registered. The seller also agrees to assist the buyer if there are any complications in registering the dog into the buyer's name. If ownership cannot be transferred due to error or fault of the seller, the seller agrees to fully refund the buyer the price of the dog.

13. Any deliberate attempt to fraud or misrepresent your dog or deliberately selling a dog with a contagious disease may result in a court dispute. The buyer may obtain a copy of this agreement upon request.

18. Please bring your AKC ownership records to the sale in case of an identification dispute. All AKC registered dogs must be micro chipped to be allowed to sell as registered (This includes puppies still nursing). If you are unable to attend the sale, you can obtain a power of attorney form from our office and we can sell them on your behalf (AKC rule only). All sellers must stay at the auction site until their dogs are sold and the paper work is completed.

This is information paster directly off SW Auctions web site go to: www.onlinepetauction.com/ - 9k for complete consignemet rules.

Of special concer to me is that this euethical and dishones puppy mill owner Jason Smith, is currently running for elected office in Missori.

I paid a HUGE amount of money to rescue this dog. Over $4,500.00 so far. I feel the least I am intitled to is the AKC registration she was already supposed to have.
