I did get a red flag from some gramatical errors on the Smooth Away website and the fact that they hide a lot of contact information, but I ordered it anyway. I thought I was going to see a page in which I could select shipping and handeling but instead was offered a rebate page to go to. So I clicked on it and was side stepped away into the rebate page with no way to get back to the ordering process. Then I was pushed into another page for a WalMart gift card but there was no "no thanks" button or anything to get out of it. I was FORCED to give them my email address and sign up for the WalMart card but when I clicked enter all pages shut down and I was left looking at my comptuers desktop. I thought that I would be take back to a confirmation page or a page in which I was allowed to select S&H but was not. When I checked my email I was given a statement in which the S&H costs almost as much as the product.

What I thought was going to be a purchase of $20 +/- dollars is now almost $45.00 though I admit I took them up on an offer for extra pads. But I didn't like being side stepped in the ordering process and I certainly didn't like being shafted in the Shipping and Handeling costs. ISN'T THERE A PRODUCT THAT SAYS "AS SEEN ON TV" THAT ISN'T A SCAM!!!! I already had a red flag when I saw the AS SEEN ON TV logo.... everyone knows if you see that logo you are going to get ripped off. Anyway, they gave me an order number but when I looked it up their database has NO RECORD of my purchase. I submited a request to cancel my order and I also emailed my bank to perhaps stop payment, but I can tell this is going to be bad.

I've been down this road before with countless American Businesses. The USA used to be a great place, a place you could trust. But now a days it seems like the consumer is being cheated and stolen from left and right. After reading a lot of reviews from people I hear that product doesn't even work. The Smooth Away pads scratch your skin and leave friction burns even if you only lightly wipe away. I guess I'm a SUCKER because I should have researched this product first. Also I should have known it wasn't any good when I say AS SEEN ON TV. TV allows so many scams even though their disclaimers say the station doesn't represent the seller, but you can't trust television. As seen on TV is a joke! ON the one hand they push the LOGO as if you can trust it because it's on TV and yet each station puts up a disclaimer pretty much admitting that you are going to get ripped off and that they are not affiliated with the scam artists selling crap products. I SERIOUSLY DOUBT I WILL SEE ALL OF MY MONEY AGAIN.
