SmoothSkinDaily (also Hydroluxe) Deception. Offered free gift - well disguised 'Terms' charged my credit card. Las Vegas? Downsview Canada? Internet

I completed a survey that was preported to come from my Mobile service provider that offered me a free gift. Once I completed the survey a number of gift choices were offered.  Though I wasn't looking for skin care the SmoothSkinDaily product was the best of the varied choices. I was asked to provide my credit card for the $4-5$ shipping costs. Never do this, I should not have.

The prominately displayed "Terms" box on the website makes it difficult to see that the offer is not free but costs $100USD and automatically enroles you into a monthly scheme for more deliveries of this product @ $100USD/month.  You have 14 days from time of your order to cancel though you only get the product 4-6 days after your order is placed. Your card will be billed $100USD exactly 14 days after you place the order.  You will not be entitled to Returns or Refunds. You must take immediate action to cancel future deliveries and charges.  

I did a search on SmoothSkinDaily before supplying my credit card # and didn't find any cautionary reports.  Interaction with the customer service contact revealed that I was dealing with Hydroluxe. If you do an internet search on that name you come up with a number of warnings that match my experience on Ripoff Report, BBB, and at least one product test site that rates the usefulness of Hydroluxe's product as very low (1 of 5 stars). It appears that the company changes its web presence (probably frequently) and uses a number of schemes to draw eyeballs to its product offering, even if one is not looking for such a product.    

The June 6 late night NEWS on a Boston chanel (NBC or ABC) featured an identical story for related personal products.  My Bank indicates that the scheme is technically legal amking it difficult to recover your money.
