In February of 2003 I voluntairly called Snap On Tools and advised them that I could not pay for the tools anylonger since I was unemployed and had just gone through a bitter divorce.

The Snap-On Tolls Credit Manager and the local Snap On tools Sales Manager took in over $12000.00 worth of tools and tool boxes to clear a $3900.00 debt.

Four years later I receive a nasty letter from these people where they tell me that I owe four years of interest and an original balance of $1800.00 was now $3000.00

SHAME ON THEM!!!!!

Snap on seems to have some big miscommunication problems

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 06, 2007

My husband is going through a big hassle trying to finance something from the Snap On Credit instead of on the truck.

His tool guy says Snap On Credit says he still owes money that he never paid. Ok So where is this bill?

Found out that his old tool guy told him he financed him through Snap On Credit when he actually financed him personally. So now our new tool guy has been collecting for the old guy.
Still somehow they say he has something on the credit, so what is it?

New tool guy gave us some information basically saying that the old guy repossesed a bunch of stuff a few years back and my husband still owes money on it. NEVER happened! We are waiting to see what they say was taken back and the exact dates, plus the paperwork from all of that.

We know it is physically impossible for that to have happened, however all of our receipts from that time period are still in storage and it is going to be a huge deal if we have to dig them all out and try to find it. It is just so stupid that the tool guys and credit cannot get it together!

And yeah, whats with it comming up years later? Oh, like when I no longer have any proof handy? That's a great time for them to make up some stories about owing them money. Not one word has been mentioned since then and all of a sudden. hey you owe us money! Sounds like a scam to me.

I saw another report on here recently and it seemed to be the same concept, years later you owe them money. I believe that guy said he did turn stuff back in like you did, but we never turned anything in or had it taken back! It's funny that they pick that time period too, because like I said, it was physically impossible for them to have taken anything back.
