I have read the reports on Maricopa County Jail and they are all true. I was in there for DUI awaiting sentancing. I prayed I would not become sick, for I new I would die before I ever saw a medical person. He is a evil person, enjoys seeing others suffer. I say to him, Who has cast the first stone, let them be without sin. He is not a believer, he has let the power become his God.
My issue is, I was sentenced to 3 years in Arizona State Prison, for DUI. I will be honest, it was not my first. However, I have served my time, I am off paper. I have been out since July 1, 2004. I cannot rent a decent apartment. I am turned down for jobs that I am qualified for. I was eligible for my Driver's License SEPT 2005 and I have payed my fines, done my time, seen the certified counseler and I still have not heard a word.
I will take accountability for my crime, yet how long to I have to pay. How long will society look at me as a convicted felon. I did not do anything that most society does daily, they just do not get caught. In my heart, paid dearly, with 3 years of my life. When will it end? I did not commit freud, murder, any violent crime, I did not even have and accident.
Every time I put something on the internet, I get sites against DUI's. I just want to go on with my life, yet society, my record will not let me. I am tired of the red tape. I have almost thrown in the towel. I am too tired to fight, I did enough of that with my time in county and prison, not physically, yet it drains my hope. Please if someone knows how to forgive an honest person, that has made a few mistakes, please contact me. I pay alot for an apartment that is a dump. I work at a job close to my house awaiting my license. I have the money for a car, the divice, etc. I have am worth more than this.

You missed the part where she said it was not her first DUI.
This was at least her 2nd offense.
That is why she did 3 years in prison!
Pam,
Only time will make these things better. There are many places to live in Phoenix even with a past felony. I lived in Phoenix and rented a decent apt while unemployed.
My opinion with you having at least 2 DUI's is that you are likely to offend again. I think you should stick to the bus for awhile.
Do you still drink? Do you have a problem with alcohol?
I have a Class A CDL, and drunk drivers are my biggest fear.

You brought this on yourself! Don't expect sympathy from law abiding citizens. You did not even have an accident? Well, la-dee-dah! You can thank God for that. Had you been involved in an accident and caused injury/death, you'd still be in prison.
And speaking of God--the quote is: Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone. Not reversed as you typed it.
You don't get sent to the pokey for 3 years because you had two beers an hour before you got behind the wheel of a car!
