I purchased solar panels from Sungevity in 2016, went live December 2016, received a notice that Sungevity was going bankrupt. Contacted Sungevity and received a response on 3/22/17 that this would not cause any interruptions in service. Well when Solar Spectrum took over we were not contacted by anyone from Solar Spectrum. In September of 2017 we reached out to Solar Spectrum and Blake Hazelrigg responded that our contract was not assumed by Solar Spectrum.... then it was found, and on 9/11/17 Blake told us he hoped to have a package available soon... few months go by and we reach out to Blake again.... 12/11/17: Blakes response - "At this time we are not offering any sort of monitoring package to non- Solar Spectrum customers. You might try reaching out to the manufacturer of your solar equipment to see what they can do to help or call a local solar company and see if they can install a monitoring unit for you. Sorry I cannot be of more help." with that we emailed the CEO Patrick McGivern on 1/6/18 our situation, heresponded same day - "Let me look into what options are available." Well Blake called us, and again said there was nothing he could do for us. So my advice to the customers who paid in full to Sungevity, and currently have no monitoring service is contact a lawyer, because Solar Spectrum has no intention of monitoring your panels. Blake saw my post and responded : Hi , I just saw your review come through on Yelp! I know that not having a warranty or monitoring data has created a frustrating situation. Our team has been working hard on getting a monitoring and warranty package put together and are currently hoping for a release the middle of this month. I have not forgotten about you and definitely intended on reaching out to bring you up to speed but we are just not quite there yet. Right now, I just wanted to reach out and apologize as I know the Sungevity, Inc. bankruptcy has created a less than ideal experience for you and wanted to keep you in the loop for future offerings. Blake Same response ... funny we were never told they were "working on anything” last communication we were given a solar company in NJ to contact because that is what another consumer did. Not happy at all with the way this is being handled. Again, my advice is to contact an attorney this is not ok.
