SOS Garage Door Services Buyer Beware - Do not use this company for Garage Door Repair Dallas, Texas

About a year ago, our garage door spring broke.  I called SOS Garage Door Services to repair the door.

When the technician arrived he examined door and suggested that not only should he replace the spring, but also replace the rollers and struts, a bid of over $600.  I declined the additional service recommendations, and asked that he just replace the broken springs for $300, which he did.

Fast forward to this past weekend.  Our garage door broke once again.  This time, the door came off the tracks and would not close.  It was New Years Day, so we called a 24 hour repair service.  A different company came out, and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He said the newly installed springs were too small for our door.  He said because of this, it was putting undue pressure on our garage door opener and cables.  It eventually put too much stress on the door, causing it to come off the tracks.

We are now looking at either $600 in repairs or a brand new door.  I have contacted SOS Garage Door services and spoke to Clint, the apparent owner of the company.  He denied that one of his many technicians would ever put on a spring that was the wrong size.  He refused to come check out his technicians work, unless I agreed to pay him $39 for a service call.  He has also refused to refund me my $300 for the work that was done incorrectly.   He did agree to sell us a new door!  What a joke.  I wish I had read the many negative reviews posted on this company before hiring them.
