We were building a Sotherby home and it was foreclosed on last month. We tried to contact Sotherby and Peter Shaddock Jr to get our earnest money refunded. Peter Shaddock Jr will not return phone calls or emails. We are not investors in Shaddock Development and expect to receive the cash we gave them for the house they did not sell us back. The Shaddock family has Shaddock Development, Saxony Homes, Sotherby Homes, Shaddock Homes now, Capital Title, and Willow Bend Mortgage. There is money there to refund innocent buyers caught up in their bad business practices. I work for a living and cannot afford to throw that kind of cash away.

I know there are probably a hundred people in the same boat and would love to find a way to settle this. We just want our money back so we can move on and purchase a home for our family! They have now opened back up the same old Sotherby model in our neighborhood and renamed themselves Shaddock Homes. So they are open for business and taking more innocent peoples cash every day. We also found out on the home we were building that not one of the contractors from the dirt up was ever paid and it was 95% completed! How do these people sleep at night??!!

Sotherby Homes Update - None of the other companies are involved in this issue

AUTHOR: Sotherby Media - (U.S.A.)

Sotherby Homes Update

Sotherby Homes has ceased operations. This unfortunate event is the result of our lenders suddenly and unexpectedly curtailing our available credit due to the national banking crisis. We sincerely regret the fact that this situation prevented our company from completing some homes and has resulted in inconvenience for our valued customers, realtors and vendors.

The only business of Sotherby Homes was new home construction and it is in no way related to any other company using the Shaddock name or other enterprises owned by members of the extended Shaddock family. The unrelated Shaddock businesses continue to operate successfully, as they have for many years, in the building, development, title and mortgage-related industries. The extended Shaddock family members are not and have never been involved with Sotherby Homes.
