While on Amazon.com I got a FREE SAMPLE offer just pay shipping and handling $4.79 for the antiageing cream. I received the product and my wife tried it but was not impressed. Later we received another box of the product. Both shipments were just a box with the product. No additional paperwork. It was then that I found that they charged me $98.37 for each shipment. When I contacted them they said that I was given time to return the stuff and would not be charged but that time had expired and I would continue to receive it and be charged the $98. My only option was to accept a 50% refund and cancel the order. Thos Rip Off cost me $98. I reported it to Amazon and they say that they have nothing to do with the skin care company. Beware of BELAVANI ANTI-AGEING. It is a total RIP-OFF

Billed for product that was cancelled 2 years ago

AUTHOR: JB123 - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 07, 2014

Some time ago, It was probobly 2 years ago. We signed up for this free trial skin care product, just paid shipping. They tried to bill us for approx. $90. So we cancelled this and sent the product back! What an outrageous amount! Today I get this bill in the mail saying that I owe $98.37! I have not ordered anything or recieved anything from this company! It was on a letter stating "priority Message" like it was some sort of overdue bill! It was signed Sincerely, Jack Lantere, Audit Manager. I tried to call the number on the letter to speak to someone regarding this matter: 1-866-441-4733. I was put on hold, then disconnected-twice for that matter. I tried to go to the website on the bill to try and get in contact with someone: autobillpayer.com. That wanted me to download something to my computer, and I was not going to do that! What a bunch of aggrevation and is very frustrating that I could not speak to someone to clear up this matter. My asumption is this company is looking for free money from people and they need to be stopped now!

South Beach Scams Consumers on "Free Trial:"

AUTHOR: jlv - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 08, 2014

Yes, the South Beach Diet corporate response to any billing complaints seems to be, "sure, we scammed you but our fine print gives us the right to do it. Don't you know that's the American way?"

I just got scammed because I signed up for a  "free trial" without checking to make sure that South Beach wasn't pulling the, "sign up online but we'll make you wait on hold for 3-hours to cancel your trial," schtick because I thought it was a professional operation.

In my opinion, it should be illegal to allow people to sign-up online but not cancel online. There's no reason to do that apart from justifying billing customers for something they don't want because they can't cancel as easily as they signed up.

In South Beach's case they provide one general e-mail and an 1-800 number that folks complain doesn't get answered for a long-time. That and they only pretend to answer it on Monday-Friday so if your "tria"l ends on the weekend or Monday you're SOL.

So it's Sat. and my "free trial" is supposed to end on Monday, yet I have no way to cancel before these guys bill me.

What can I say? I should have checked to see if South Beach was pulling billing scams before I signed up online.

No its not...

No it was a TRIAL sample, this means that you get to TRY the item. Your issue is that neither YOU or your wife READ!!!! Had you ACTUALLY read the terms and conditions OF THE OFFER, you would have found a 14 day TRIAL period in which if YOU do not contact them and cancel, you would be billed and sent additional products. This is NOT them scamming YOU. This is your own IGNORANCE comming back to bite you on the a$$. Had you done YOUR part and simply READ the information, you would have only gotten the trial size and no further charges. But you did NOT. So instead of ADMITTING to your own stupidity you seek to call them the rippoff. The only entity that ripped YOU off is YOU. Stop acting like a child and admit you made a mistake and move on.

This is yet ANOTHER false report because the American COnsumer can no more admit that they made a mistake then they can take the time to read. I find it VERY hard to believe that people like this STILL exist. They claim they are adults but refuse to act like one. Maybe both you and your wife need some classes in maturity. And reading comprehension as well.
