I purchase as property in the South Commons Condos in the year 2000. I purchased in the 2941 building. After being there a while I found out in 2006 that the developer Habitat LLC turn the property over to the the association in ill repair. In doing so the intial board did not meet the deadline to have the deveoper make the needed repairs. After doing some research I found out that a young lady had filed a lawsuit about the matter. It was revealed in the lawsuit that there was a settlement called the Habitat Settlement. In that settlement the board members were giving money personally to settle the matter with Habitat LLC. In exchange for doing that they agreed not to pursue any legal action on behalf of the homeowners. It took this a while to digest, but in essensce they took dollars from the homeowners and it was later revealed that the property needed over 13 million dollars in needed repairs. several boards go by and are aware of this and no one has the nerve to tell.

Now the property has extremely high assessments and the management company along with the board members take kick backs at the cost to the Homeowners of the association. In looking at the court documents the one woman who tried to get this disclosed they did every thing to discredit her and took possession of her property. This just does not seem fair.

If someone is interested in buying over here they should avoid it at all cost. The association board is corrupt, the attoney David Sugar is corrupt and there seem to be many other people that are involved with the shady dealings of the association.

 The fact that board members were paid to not pursue litigation is a problem and these people should be behind bars and not free to run around scamming home owners. I am posting this with the hope that it will get some justice for that woman that tried to help the community and to get the scumbags involved arrested for stealing.
