Let it be known that the "CEO" Bernard Linney and the "VP" David Von represent a company that lies to it's brokers and mistreats it's clients. As a former broker for this "firm" I brought clients who constantly called me with issues of obtaining their money and experienced many hardships after signing on with this factoring firm. Additionally, I personally experienced lies and bait and switch tactics from it's leadership. They took my commission money from me, after telling me that all commission monies are good "for life" in their broker training class. I brought in a good amount of business only to have them terminate my agreement and keep my commissions that I worked hard for over 3 years.

I would advise any business to stay away as well as anyone who wants to broker business to them. They make promises and then "change business strategy" to justify their means. There are much better firms out there who keep their word to it's clients and brokers in order to foster more business. This firm leaves nothing but headaches in it's wake. They are unprofessional and don't return calls until it's good for their causes or crooked means.

They are a total ripoff for brokers and a total headache for businesses trying to factor invoices. STAY AWAY.

I, brian brinson made the above posting on this website. About a year ago I purposefully circumvented my contract with Southstar and obtained clients for my copany source1 Funding llc in order to survive. However this conduct was in violation of my agreement with them. Southstar agreed to an amended agreement in order to resolve my breaches whereby i was required to procure one client a quarter for Southstar and Southstar would pay certain commissons. I failed to deliver a single client to Southstar after the amendment and Southstar stopped paying the commissions, which it had the contractual right to do. When I stopped receiving the commissions, I posted out of anger for all the work I lost. i previously posted an apology and at their request, post another

Corrective action report

I wish to correct the previous report against Southstar and it's executives. Even though disgreements exist between us, I mistakenly took my concerns to this site and wish to apologize for the words I used. I made a mistake and recant the entire document. My apologies to the firm and it's executives.
