I've been calling to find a new psychology online program.  I'm having trouble separating the wheat from the chaff, as many online programs demand extemely large amounts of money for what they do for you online.  The schools only give email access to professors, a library online, and sometimes videos, and practicums that you have to travel to.  ( I have yet to find a school that pays for the travel!)  The person I called in to speak with answered and told me I'd called Argosy University!  I had called South University!  My response was to ask why I'd gotten a completely different school, and was told South was a sister school.  I had specific questions about the program.  First, how much each semester hour cost, and did they use semester or quarter hours.  They said they used neither semesters nor quarters but considered each year to be complete with 7 classes under your belt with a 3.0 gpa.

By this time I should have simply hung up!

I asked how much the dollar cost per credit was, and the CS associate said something completely off point.  I tried to keep the CS on task by redirecting him back to my initial question:  how much does each credit hour cost?  I realized after redirect question 4 that the man did not want to reveal how much the credit hour cost!  Every time I asked a question, he answeded with a question!  I finally pointed out to him that I'm a grad student in counseling and that I might not actually be easy to dissuade from asking for such a basic piece of information!  I mean, come on, why aren't you going to tell how much your credit hours cost?  Because you don't know?  Say so.  Because you think I'll decide not to go there?  Well, maybe, but I deserve to know!  If you have a program that I feel is better than others, I might shock and suprise you and attend your school!  But, NO!  This guy sidestepped every question I asked with a question in reponse.  He even accused me of calling because I wanted to argue with him!  No, I wanted to know if they had semester or quarter credits, and how much each credit hour cost, in dollars.

That's really all I wanted to know, to see if I could include South University in my applications.  But now, I see they're not really willing to be forthright about things, first the phone switch, from South University to Argosy University, and then the questions in response to my direct ones.  Responding to a question with a question, is often a sign of dishonesty.  I mean, if I were DA and asking someone on the stand, and they answered with a question, what do you think would happen?  They'd be told to answer the question or face the possibility of a penalty.  Well, I think this whole dissengenuous conversation means that Something, I don't know what, is going on with those schools, and I am not going to attend either of them, ever!
