I got a call from Stacy regarding my magazine subscription. She was calling from the Publishers I was receiving what I paid but they want to extend my subscription for another 60 months. She gives me a survey (Age, Marital Status, preferred credit add company) She has my name, address, and phone number but she's new so she'll have her supervisor call me back. Problem is that i dont have any magazine subscriptions and supposedly I have Maxim, Mens Health, Car and Driver, US Weekly, and Sports Illustrated. He calls apologizing for the inconvenience but she's new. He verifies my info and says all he needs to do is update my credit card number. He has that it's a Discover (I lied to the girl) but he needs the whole number. Stay away people. I could never get a straight answer as to who they were. It was either the Publishers, Magazine club, or just "We represent the major magazine corporations. A quick 411 call found it listed under Southern Magazine Promotions... Awfully close to the Legitimate Southern Magazine Promotions, Inc. Except for a different address an phone number. He told me off when I began to question him. I jokingly asked for a supervisor (as if there was one) and he just told me, "Nope, too bad. I'm the top of the food chain"
