SOYO Group, Inc. $25 rebate for SOYO computer case from Fry's Electronics; rebate company RebateStatus.com cannot find 3 rebates that I submitted abused & mistreated ripoff Fremont California

SOYO promised a $25 rebate on a computer case purchased through Fry's Electronics. The rebate was to be submitted to the processor, RebateStatus.com.

At this time, my primary complaint is with RebateStatus.com.
On this particular rebate, I submitted in Dec, 2002. I started checking status in March and April 2003. RebateStatus.com was "unable to find any record of your submission..." in their database. Asked me to resend the paperwork, but to a different address.

I resubmitted and after another month the rebate still did not show up through their online search tool, and an E-Mail to RebateStatus.com got the same response as before: "unable to find any record of your submission...". They asked me to resubmit it once again (2nd resubmission).

I sent an E-Mail reply along with an image attached to the message from scanning the rebate form, UPC, and receipt. Now, I received a reply from RebateStatus.com saying:
"Thank you for sending your rebate enquiry. At this time all customer service enquiries are being directed to 510-266-7696".
Note that they only gave a phone number, without any company or contact name.

Now they say that they are no longer supporting this rebate. I did in fact call 510-266-7696 today and got a recording
that ... the number has been disconnected... .

I seny another message to RebateStatus.com informing them that the phone number they provided had been disconnected. I received this snippy reply back (the all caps are from them):
PLEASE CALL THE NO YOU WERE GIVEN AS WE ARE NOT DOING ANY FURTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THIS REBATE THANK YOU

I told them once again that as stated in my message, I did call that number, but it is out of service. I asked to have a Supervisor contact me.

After 24 hours, I have received no contact from a supervisor or any information. Guessing that the number might be for SOYO, I started checking the Web and found the phone number and address for the SOYO Group, Inc. RebateStatus.com had an error in one of the digits in the phone number that they gave to me!!!! UGH!
