 First off, in Feb 2016, I received an email from a business colleague referring his good friend , Thomas Hunter, Spark Research Spark was looking for retail service evaluators. Spark Research is 40 year old market research company- apparently legit- After emailing company, they said they would consider using me on future assignments In March, I was told that my candidacy was approved. In April, I received an overnight usps package delivery with my first " assignment" along with a Bank Check in the amount 3310. The assignment was to go to a participating retailer that sells one vanilla card, purchase 6 $500 cards and provide details on transaction including length of time of transaction, general demeanor of employee that handled transaction, time of day, etc. First step was to cash check. Went to BoA no problem cashing check and proceeded to Walgreens. I did transaction and advised company sending info on cards with all other details requested. Receipt wS acknowledged and I was told that I should wait further instruction as to future assignments/ one per month or so, and these would require using gift cards. Each assignment pays $300. Subsequently, bank sent notice saying transaction was I hold. It then occurred to me that I was scammed. Followed up immediately with One vanilla/ all zero balance.
