in june 2013  i hired leonardo sparks to cut down a tree , add to or fix a chain link fence , get up concrete (his discretion as to how much ) on a vacant lot i purchased. i saw his name among others in craigslist as leo's tree removal, i called him and other tree cutters in craigslist , he and 3 others called back , i decided to go with him. he only came out twice , once in 6 /2013  and  7 / 2013   he kept stalling with excuses, i went to small claims court and had him served twice unsuccessfully by the sheriff, then a private process server served him and he threw the letter on the ground and threatened the server not to attemp to serve him again ( the server put this in his report )  i sent 2 letters to him as i was told to do by the small claims court judge ( i sent the first certified return receipt , the second  certified  to show that i did attempt ) he and wife refused them both,  i won an ex-parte judgement against him in the amount of $3,800.00   as he did not appear in court twice .  an agent  from chicago consumer fraud called him , and  told him my complait e.t.c. and informed him he was not registered  and could not use sparks scm&r , his wife got on the phone and said he could and that i owe them money. the investigating agent said they were kind of rude and hard to talk to, he sent sparks some citations to appear in court  6 /11/ 2014   , again he did not appear.  he and wife have a non profit org, called the given chance , i would advise all reading this not to give  to THE GIVEN CHANCE  /   SPARKS SCM&R  DO NOT give them any money at all  !!!
