In 2009, after receiving our taxes and finally being able to afford new bedding, we headed to Cartersville Outlet in Cartersville, GA. We tried several beds and purchased the Englander. It was great for about three weeks. Then it began to sink and sink and sink. Because I suffer from Occipital Neuralgia and need the alignment of a decent bed, our complaints began about six weeks after purchasing. Cartersville Outlet could not help us so we called Spears Mattress in Rome, GA where our bedding was manufactured.

We did not make it past the receptionist. She basically told us off and asked what we expected a pillow top mattress to do. She claimed it would settle and then be fine.

Six months later we called back. Again, we spoke with the woman who answered the phone. She stated that unless the mattress had sunk below 2 inches she could not help. We told her it had. She gave us a runaround. We asked if someone could come out and check the depth and we were accidentally "disconnected." Upon calling back we were sent to voicemail. We left a message and our home address.

This phone tag went on and on and on. We were told a kit was in the mail for us to utilize on the mattress to diagnose whether there was an issue or not. The kit never arrived. We drove to Rome on three different occasions in an attempt to obtain the kit. We failed each time.

It has taken us three long uncomfortable years, but we finally saved money and purchased a Vivon. We would burn the Englander but there are fire laws. I wouldn't donate this crappy mattress to a homeless shelter or Goodwill. God forbid anyone ever have to experience something so horrendous.
