Specialty Merchandise Corporation Aka: Smc *Beware* Simi Valley California

I called because I'd seen their ad. I only wanted, as the ad stated, get your "information' packet. I wanted to get the 'information' packet and read over it.

I was met on the phone with a 'Michael'. Very agressive, pushy, rude, non-listening, and personally I refused the entire thing and was sorry that I even called.

I wanted to simply get information about what they were offering, saying etc. This doesn't wash with this company however. They want you to do it NOW, give them 50$ or more, they want to withdrawl it from your account, any account. They DEMAND that you do it NOW. No reading, thinking it over, DO IT NOW, period! Very pushy and personally to me when you're pushy like that and rude on top of it I don't want your business nor do I want or care to be a part of it either.

I then read the BBB reports. The very few 'good' comments certian individules had to say, if you ask me, it's their own sales reps posting those comments. I just get that feeling and believe my hunch is 100% accurate. The rest, all the negative ads to me were true and more along the lines of what I expereinced over the phone.

I also read ripoff comments about this company and am thankful to all of you whom posted because being PT at Walmart and needing more income to be ripped off of what little I do make would of sent me even into more peril than I am now.

I agree with posters that this company makes their money by all that do sign up and get trapped in their scam. Personally, I don't even think there is a warehouse perhaps it's someone or several individules that find what you want somehow and try to get it to you somehow and thus why it's always late for most.

Yea, I think this company is a total scam and should be investigated for fraud and whatever else can be brought against them legally by all these poor, fine folks that were simply trying to make a better life for themselves somehow.

This company is into the power of persuassion.
