On July 4th my family and I went to speedway to get gas and other goods. While I was putting gas in the Van my daughter and son went in to pay.  My daughter came out and said they will not sell her the cigarettes.

I went inside to get the cigarettes for my daughter and was told that they will not sell them to me.  I ask why, and they replied "Because you're with them."  Then I replied "Them, happeneds to be my family and be carfull how you talk about them."

When I asked for Corporate's number Robert Reed and Stephanie refused to give it to me and told me no. So I ask for the Manager and was told "no".  Robert Reed and Stephanie told my daughter that store policy says that they can't sell cigarettes when some one is with a miner.

I told Robert Reed and Stephanie that I was 63 years old and was still told that they won't give me any cigarettes.  I went to another Speedway gas station and asked if they had such a policy and was told "no". I went to a Go-Mart gas station and they never heard of a policy like that.

I went to a 7/11 and was told they never heard of such a policy. These stores can't even understand why Stephanie and Robert Reed could even lie like that to people. Everybody I talk to says that there is no reason why this store should treat customers this way.

My daughter always puts her ID on the counter before asking for Cigarettes. We never had a problem before.  When I looked into the policy I fount that there is no such policy.

I tried so hard to find out why my family was targeted for a discriminative act such as this. I cannot for the sake of God have any idea why they would do this to us. We were every good customers and never had or gave speedway any problems.

The next day I called the store and got the manager. I told him what happened and he offered me a cup of coffee to solve the problem.  I asked him his name he said he can't give it to me because of Homeland Security.

I asked him what the hell are you talking about?  He said, "Homeland Security will not let us give out our names for security reasons. They will not let us give out corporate's number or our address".

What I did is talk to some one and got his name. It's Jeremy Hicks and the District Manager at this time is Jason Hunt. He refuse to even talk about it or look into it.

I wrote to Customer Service and got a brush off letter from Jennifer Newman. Never heard from anyone again about this situation.  My childern and I felt so belittled, disrespected and discriminated against and had no idea why.

Now Speedway wants YouTube to take my videos off because everyone is starting to look at them and is asking a lot of questions about the store.  I was given 48 hours to re-do the videos or take them off.

Vinny, Vinny, Vinny....

AUTHOR: I am the law - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 01, 2011
Vinny, Vinny, Vinny.....
If I'm not mistaken, you're trying to one-up me. I realize you may be new to ROR, so allow me to give you some advice; you can't one-up someone smarter than you. Let's just break down your last little response so the world can see you for the backwoods West Virginian redneck that you are.

1. You said, "I did not send a minor into speedway to buy cigarettes." Really? That's odd. Well, I believe your report said "Robert Reed and Stephanie told my daughter that store policy says that they can't sell cigarettes when some one is with a miner." This could either mean that Speedway wouldn't sell them to you because YOU'RE with a minor OR they wouldn't sell them to the daughter because SHE was with a minor.  So, process of elimination, I'm assuming that the son is the minor. That would make him under the age of 18. So if you're 63, that means you would've had to have had a newborn at age 46 (or older depending on how young the son is.) So, that leaves us with a few possibilities. Either A. you have a golden uterus, or B. you are lying about the age of the girl trying to buy the cigarettes, or C. if the son is the minor in this situation, one of you filthy rednecks probably tried to buy your son (or someone else under 18) cancer sticks before. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Face it, sweetie. Your report is FAR from comprehensible to anyone with an IQ bigger than their shoe size. If the daughter is actually 22, anyone who reads this dribble is going to assume, like I did, that your daughter is the minor. Next time, you might want to have an intellectually superior person proofread your reports before you submit them. I would suggest an available toddler.

2. Most blogs and word processing programs have a spelling and grammar checker nowadays. Might I suggest giving that a shot before forcing us to try and interpret your apelike redneck language? For example, a "miner" is someone who works in a mine. A "minor" is someone under the age of 18. Also, "Them, happeneds to be my family and be carfull how you talk about them." could've made more sense if you would've used this instead, "Those people are my family. Don't speak that way about them." See? Much easier to understand. Out of curiousity, did you finish the third grade or drop out?

3. In reference to your comment... "I am really sorry if yours don't work.  But mine does.  If you have a problem with that it's your problem not mine. Like I said. Mine works.  I'll have kids till the day I die if that's what I want." Oh, believe me, sweetie, mine works. Ask that daughter of yours.

So, now that we have some perspective on things, you go ahead and get back to your "activities" with your brother. Be sure to get your fill of that famous Tennessee rotgut while you're at it. After all, America needs more illiterate rednecks collecting welfare checks.

To: Ramjet smoking

AUTHOR: Vinny Masi - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 05, 2010

I am not sure what to say about smoking.  But I can say that I don't smoke and never did.  For that matter, I never will.  I don't like smoke.  It gets me sick. But, there is a but there.  She is 22 years old and there is nothing I can do to stop her. She does not smoke in the house.

I feel the same way that you do when it comes to smoking. She is old enough to think for herself.  People sometimes think they know what they want but like I said sometimes there is nothing we can do.  My daughter has been in speedway many times before and was sold cigarettes everytime she went into said store.

This is why she gets them and not me. But, I did not like the way she was picked out and the way they spoke to her.  I don't like it when people assume and act on it.  Because you would be acting without facts.  I act on something because I am sure, not because I think something is wrong.

Believe me.  I feel the same way you do when it comes to smoking.  But who am I to tell other people what they can and cannot do.

What happened to your son

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 05, 2010

In the original posting you stated that

While I was putting gas in the Van my daughter and son went in to pay.

and then later that

My daughter always puts her ID on the counter before asking for Cigarettes

- Okay if your daughter is not a minor what about your son?   You never mentioned him past that one line.  Is he a minor?  Because you said that they said that they will not sell cigarettes to anyone who is WITH a minor.

Anyways regardless of if they wanted to sell them to you or not, I doubt you would find any law that says they must sell you cigarettes even if you are "of age".  In fact I would bet that you would find that they may actually be covered under law to not sell you cigarettes if they don't feel "right" about the situation.

To: I am Law - What a joke

AUTHOR: Vinny Masi - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 05, 2010

1,  I did not send a minor into speedway to buy cigarettes.  2,  My daughter is 22 years of age and in my book that is not a minor, unless you know something I don't know.  3,  I am not dumb and I do know better.

4,  I do not claim to be 63, I am 63.  If I want to have kids at a late age I will have them.  I will have kids at 90 if God will let me and if I want them.  I am really sorry if yours don't work.  But mine does.  If you have a problem with that it's your problem not mine. Like I said. Mine works.  I'll have kids till the day I die if that's what I want. Another thing you should know.

If you come up with the reply you did about my report,  you had to be drunk to give the comment you did.  Try reading paragraph 6 in my report.  Just remember that you were not there and try to understand what you read.

You did say your daughter puts her ID on the counter.  You did not say she was not a minor.

the nasty habit I referred to is smoking.  Smoking is indeed a nasty habit.  People who smoke die young, they stink, their houses, cars and clothes stink, they throw butts all over, spill ashes all over, burn miscellaneous things with their stinking cigarettes.  They spend thousands of dollars a year supporting their addiction and make the rest of us smell their stink and then b***h because we complain about it.

Unfortunately you are supporting and encouraging your daughter to follow in your footsteps whether she's minor or not.

Smoking is not only a "nasty habit", but also a DRUG ADDICTION!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 05, 2010

Smoking is nasty. People who smoke do so because of the addiction to nicotine.

Smoking IS a DRUG ADDICTION and needs to be treated as such.

Nicotine is the most powerful addictive drug available over the counter without a prescription.

Big tobacco likes to keep these facts quiet.

Smokers ARE drug addicts.

AUTHOR: Vinny Masi - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 05, 2010

First, learn how to read and understand what you are reading.  Second, read where she showed her ID and put it on the counter. Three, my daughter is not a minor.  Why do you say that it was ridiculous to feel the way we did?  What nasty habit are you talking about?  Please think before you speak and read and understand before you comment.

Ridiculous

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 20, 2010

"My children and I felt so belittled, disrespected and discriminated against and had no idea why."  This is a ridiculous statement and hilarious too.  You know exactly why.

Why the hell are making your kids help you with your nasty habit?

I applaud the store and would give them my business if I lived near it.

You can't be serious.

AUTHOR: I am the law - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 19, 2010

This is hands down the dumbest report I've ever read.

First off, YOU SENT A MINOR IN TO BUY YOUR CIGARETTES?!?!!?!? SERIOUSLY!?! ARE YOU THAT DUMB ?!?!?

Obviously, you're misunderstanding what the Speedway employees are saying to you. What's happening here is that Speedway thinks that a minor was trying to buy cigarettes, and when they refused, that you're trying to come in and buy them for the minor. I don't blame them one bit.

Second, you claim you're 63, but you have a minor for a daughter? Hmmm.... pretty late in life to have a child.

My advise is don't shop there again

AUTHOR: Steph - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, October 03, 2010

After the way you were treated I would not shop there again. I used to work for this company when they had stores in Florida. This company is scared of being sued.

I will give you a good example they do not want thier employees calling law enforcement on gas drive offs. I did when I got drive offs on my shift. They are afraid of being sued for that. If I could not see the person or the vehicle I would not turn on the pump

My last managere before I left the company was setting me up them writing me up I did refuse to sign the write ups . 1 day I told her F--- you and walked out

I do not blame you for putting that on Utube good for you. What comes around goes around . I will check out the video when I get the chance .

I would tell speed way to stuff it on taking the video off  what comes around goes around and paybacks are hell

Speedway does Discriminate

AUTHOR: Vinny Masi - (USA)

I know for a fact that this family did have this problem. But this happens to a lot of kids. This is why speedway gets away with it all the time.
