I have visited this Speedway Superamerica Recruiting Center Convenient Store 2 or more times every month for years. This week I specifically requested 3 cartons of Marlboro cigarettes (as they can only be sold from behind the counter) in the soft packs. I assumed what I asked for was what they put in the bag, but when I got home I discovered they slipped me 3 cartons of the box type packs. Understand, both come in identical cartons just at the ends it will say soft-packs or flip-top boxes. I opened one of the cartons that night and noticed that gave me something other then what I asked for and paid for. I then took the 2 'unopened' cartons back for exchange only, since it was their fault I ended up purchasing items that I did not ask for. When I arrived at the facility and advised the clerks the situation and that I only wanted to exchange the 2 unopened cartons, the clerk refused to satisfy me with the items that I asked for to start with. I believe it may have been they were out of this item and they keep a sign posted that guarantees if they do not have the requested brand in stock they will advance the customer a gift card for the store. Either way, I advised that is the same as purchasing a food item to go from a restaurant and when you get home you find they enclosed another customers order and the seller would correct 'their' mistake. The only thing they would do was give me a phone number of 800-643-1948. When I called there, the receptionist would only take my complaint without any promises. I now feel if they are not willing to correct their errors from what they bag, could they also be mixing something in their fuel tanks other then what their customers are requesting? But then, they don't have to worry about fuel being returned.
