This is a warning about speedybarcodes.com.
We purchased additiona bar codes for Amazon listings, this time just picking speedybarcodes.com.
What they sent is only in unusable forms.
These are the ONLY way they send them:
1. As pictures of the barcodes in a protected file.
They are so jammed together you could not even use them as they are, nor can you cut and paste the UPC numbers. Even if you wanted to use ONLY the bacoded pictures and not the numbers - and then photoshop those in - you would have to spend hours and hours cutting each one out in a photoshop program. You would literally have to open, edit, crop and save EACH barcode pictures.
They are worthless UNLESS you want to HANDWRITE out each number since you can not cut and paste them.
For Amazon, what you want is UPC numbers you just copy and paste. They do not send any file suited to this.
2. In a protected Excel file. If you do not have Excel you have NO access to the numbers themselves. If you do, you will have to convert it to an edit form. Even then you can not merely put them in a Word file or Word Pad. In short, they send you files you can't use unless you spend hours putting it into a usable form.
As far as simply receiving a list of UPC numbers you can copy and paste onto Amazon - which is what you need for Amazon? No, they don't sent that.
This is probably why they advertise low prices - because what they send is in a form so difficult and error prone to use it is easier to just go buy them again somewhere else.
Buy from them and you will spend HOURS doing what should take zero time otherwise.

I purchased 10,000 barcodes and had some of the same issues. The file with the images do have to be formatted to work. Since I also sell on Amazon, I did not reformat the picture codes. The file is also sent in a protected Excel file as well as a tab delimeted text file. You just have to know how to use Excel in order to mange your file. Import the text file and everything works absolutely fine.

I'm an interested consumer investigating Speedy Barcodes' company reputation on the web. I found your report and thought the stated problems hard to believe. I downloaded a sample package from Speed Barcodes. I found all the files easy to work with. Yes, the Excel file was protected but that can be turned off, and the acrobat file has no such problem. It was easy to cut and paste numbers. It was also easy to open single graphics files and to copy them for use in other files.
I'm posting this because this report is completly unwarranted. The only thing it demonstrates is either the incompetence of the writer in doing basic document editing, or (possibly) maliciously damaging a company's reputation with false information.
