We had leased at a dealership a few towns away, but that dealership went out of business.  when our lease was done, we call Jeep corporate and they told us that ALL Jeep dealerships are required to take delivery of the Jeep.  We called John at Sport Jeep and he argued that they didn;t want to deal with the car.  I informed him that Jeep Corporate policy required that he take the car.
In order to show me who's boss, John went to the car, found several small scuffs and told me there was a $1600 "wear and tear" charge because of the scuffs.   It was his way of showing me that he REALLY didn;t want to be bothered with my lease return.

I drove off the lot, told John where to go, and took the Jeep to Family Jeep a few towns away - who accepted the Jeep with no wear & tear charges.

A few weeks later, I started receiving calls from TD Finance.  Apparently, John had submitted the invoice for the $1600 in charges on a Jeep that HE NEVER TOOK IN!!   I fought with TD Finance and Sport Jeep for about a year & they eventually released the charge & promised me they'd release the bad report they'd given to my credit report.   Here we are a few years later and they still won't remove the mark from my credit report.

John at Sport Jeep is a liar and committed fraud by submitting an invoice on a car that he never received.  TD Auto Finance has refused to remove the negative mark from my credit report ever since.

John at Sport Jeep Still lying about the damage to the Jeep.

AUTHOR: ChrisM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 29, 2012

John at Sport Jeep is missing one fact in his rebuttal.   I NEVER returned the car to SPORT Chrysler.   When John trumped up his phony scratches and wear and tear charges because he didn't want to take the car, I left and drove to Family Jeep in Philly.  The honest & considerate folks at Family Jeep inspected the car and found "No Damage".  I still have the report.  THAT report was submitted to Jeep Chrysler along with the car.

This is proof that John was fabricating the wear and tear charges.   So John at Sport Jeep fabricated the wear & tear charges, then somehow submitted those charges to Jeep Financial even though he never took the car.

Because the people at Jeep Financial were so confused by the fact that they had a "wear and tear" invoice from a dealer who never took possession of the car, they eventually cancelled the invoice, but because John won't just admit the charges were bogus, they still show it as a "charge off" on my credit report.

You can still fix this, Sport Jeep.  Call TD Financial and admit that the wear and tear invoice that John submitted was incorrect, and have them delete this "bill" from my credit report.

Lease return

AUTHOR: Sport Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 29, 2012

When Chrysler financial had lease returns coming back in big numbers from dealers that were no longer in business. Sport could not take back all the lease returns from other dealers due to fact that we did not have the space to store the cars. Chrysler Financial would take up to 4 months to pick up the cars. I told that to this customer but I decided to help them anyway.

When they came in I noted the damage that was on the car not because I was showing them who was boss I was just doing my job. I guess I could have ignored the damage on the car like the other dealer did but that would be considered lying.

I did not submit an invoice but Chrysler financial does have a record of the damage that was on the car when I did my inspection. To give them the amount I had to enter it in Chrysler Financial's system.

I have been here at Sport for 19 years and have taken back hundreds of lease returns and have never had one problem. The fact is the customer drove the car and put the damage on the car and did not want to pay for it. So who was the one trying to commit fraud!
