Sportsmonster.net Sportsmonster.net wants you to sign up for there events and then won't give you any information after you pay and want to charge you 30% to get your money back. Chicago, Illinois

   So here is the issue, I decided to go ahead and sign up for an adult flag football league in Cleveland,OH as my attempt to stay in shape this fall. I found an ad for a website called sportsmonster.net which offered flag football signups in my area. Awesome, right ? I get on there site and create this account specifically to sign up for there 8 on 8 leagues which started August 23rd, I do all this on August 6th. They charge my debit card $46.35 including a bogus $5.00 processing fee which they don't tell you about until the last second. They also pressure you into signing up for a yearly memebership at the cost of another $40.

So a few days later I get back on and see what is updated and what team I would be on and so forth. Well, nothing was updated and my page is still how I left it. Another week goes by and I send an e-mail asking what is going on, it's around August 17th by this time. I even called and no one answered so I politely left a message to call back, which no one did. They finally e-mail me and say they never received a payment. I e-mailed them my receipt I had received and a few days later they magically "found" my payment, but still offered no explanation about getting on a team. They did however say they could give me a refund but only after they took out a 30% deduction for cancelling. Well, since I was never given a chance or explanation as to why I wasn't put on a team why should they take out 30%. I even e-mailed them for the 6th time asking to be put on a team and still no reply.

I realize it's not a lot of money but that is not the issue I am having, no communication whatsoever and no apology after countless e-mails asking them to place me on a team. Just the standard you can cancel but we will deduct 30%. I guess it's time to take my new Adidas cleats I bought back to the store thanks to sportsmonster.net
