Spring AirSpring Air/Chattam & Wells Mattresses ~ Consolidated Bedding, Defective Four Seasons Mattress, Unresolved Warranty Claim, Constant run around City Of Industry California

I purchased a Four Seasons, Palm Beach 5000 mattress in March of 2006. From the day it was delivered, it sloped upward so that our feet were higher than our head. The delivery men said it should even out, so we gave it a little time to see what happened. But within 2 months, there was a massive depression on both sides where we lay and an obvious hill in between. We had an inspector deem that it was in fact defective last August.

I have had a constant run-around with Consolidated Bedding (the warranty division of Spring Air.) I have made so many phone calls to this company it makes me sick to my stomach. They are completely unhelpful and unprofessional!

For months I was given incorrect information and was told that I would have to pick out a new mattress online because Spring Air was no longer carried in Nevada. The other option they gave me was to drive to a state that did have them! This was so ludicrous, considering the amount of money we spent and all of the various mattresses we had to lay on to choose this particular one. This turned out to be false and just learned in January that there are still Spring Air/Chattam & Wells mattresses available here. We picked out a different mattress and yet we have not received it.

It is now February 2008 I still have no replacement and I am sleeping in a hole. We spent nearly $2600 on this mattress and it has been the biggest waste of money, time and energy. I am at my wits end! I have emailed execs, only to be ignored. I have emailed the corporate office and have heard nothing. I couldn't even count the phone calls I have made.

We have to lay on the most expensive, disappointing waste of money every night as a reminder of what a terrible purchase we made.

This entire ordeal has consumed SO much of my time and energy. Never in a thousand years did I expect that Spring Air would be so unhelpful and unprofessional after spending so much money and being a loyal consumer.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY SPRING AIR! They have the worst customer service on the planet and their mattresses are just as defective as the company that stands behind them.
