I am writing this on behalf of my own personal experience with the management at Spring Mountain apartments in Salem, Oregon. Before Taylor Management took over, the apartments were managed by Pinnacle Reality. Pinnacle was in the process of fixing many of the problems and issues that tenants had been complaining about. Issues such as a gaping hole in the back driveway that drivers had to swerve to avoid, broken water heaters, furnaces and rotting decks.

Since Taylor Management took over management duties, little or nothing has been done to fix the above listed issues. There is still a massive hole in the pavement of the back driveway which has grown larger, railing on decks have began to rott out and break, causing potential safety hazards, and tenants, including an elderly family friend continues to live in the apartments without being able to use her furnace for 5 days, despite repeated phone calls to the apartment manager. So far, the only apparent change that the management has made to the apartment complex is a pile of old derelict and rusted appliances sitting behind the management office.

The manager is a whole separate issue. She is rarely, if ever at her desk and she never has the "manager will be back at this time" poster on the office front door when she is away. When she is away from the office, the office door is locked and tenants are unable to access the exercise room, an amenity that the management advertises. The manager never answers her phone and has never returned any phone calls and, as far as I know has never followed through with repair requests. Most recently, tenants have discovered that they have a better chance of getting a hold of her by knocking on the door of her apartment (which is conveniently located right next to the management office) during business hours.

Overall, my experiences with Taylor Management have been very poor and unsatisfactory. The manager clearly does not take her job seriously, acts extremely unexperienced and insincere and is otherwise unfriendly. Either the manager herself or the maintenance man does not follow through with repair requests and very little has been done to increase the value of the property and the well being of their tenants.
