Spring River Nurseries Mail fraud, attorney general complaint, retiree's money stolen by unscrupulous "business" Hartford, Michigan

Like many of you, my mother sent for lavender plants from this company over 2 months ago. Her check has long since been cashed and, of course, she has no plants.

I called today (6/23/04, 7:00am PDT) and left a message on Spring River's voice mail - no doubt they are so busy answering complaint calls I was unable to get through to a live beat. I advised them I will be reporting the theft to their state Attorney General and the US Post Office if the shipment does not arrive by close of business tomorrow (isn't FedEx great?).

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to report these scum. It helps to know we're not the only ones suckered in by their ad. Also - you saved me the delay and expense of having to make a number of non-toll-free phone calls and waiting for a response we now know will never come.

I'll update on Friday if the plants arrive tomorrow!
